    The Cagwait White Sand Beach is recognized as the Philippines' SPACEBAR beach and has the world's longest slide. The white sand beach is as wide as the spacebar button on the keyboard, hence the name "spacebar."

    It’s a magnificent beach in the province with a name derived from the local term "mura ug wait." Has a lengthy stretch of fine sand beach in the shape of a C. The sand on the beach isn't particularly white, but it's fluffy and comforting to the feet. The beach is enhanced by the presence of a variety of green plants and coconut trees. Many people refer to it as the “Little Boracay of CARAGA,” and famed pilot Charles Lindberg once compared it to Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, USA. This is an excellent tourist destination for those who simply want to relax and enjoy a less commercialized beach vacation.

    Cagwait's beaches generate revenue for the municipal government. In exchange, the government keeps these beaches in good repair. I was astounded by the cleanliness of the landscape as I entered the resort's entrance. It was a stunning scenery that will make coming to the resort more enjoyable and intriguing for the guests.

    I noticed the Tourist Inn on the left side of the resort entrance. This inn caters to backpackers as well as any events such as conventions, seminars, reunions, and other special occasions. The resort's cottages are ideal for sightseeing. The white beach and splash of water make the trip worthwhile. The house was quite clean, which I greatly liked. One of my most memorable moments was the resort's breathtaking beauty. I admire their government's efforts to turn the area into a tourism attraction.

    The beach is stunning and has been profoundly influenced by nature. With fewer commercial structures, this area is ideal for relaxation and vacation. The beach curve span is immaculate, with golden white sand. Since the waves are not as large as those seen on other beaches in Surigao del Sur, swimming activities such as snorkeling and diving are allowed.

    The seawater in this location is not particularly forceful, goggles are not required because seawater contains fewer components that harm the human eye and induce soreness, eyes are protected from irritation. This is the ideal location for those looking for a low-cost, well-rounded experience of nature near the sea.

    Along the beach, there are a few resorts. We just looked at approximately four places before settling in the Spacebar Beach Resort. It's the only resort with a pool (yet unfinished) and a slide. None of these things are important to me as long as I enjoyed the view.   After almost 3 hours on the road, all that mattered was a spot to put my belongings and to take a dip in the sea.

    The skies were clear, and the weather was ideal for daytime visits and incoming visitors. When witnessing a horseshoe-shaped paradise resort facing the Pacific Ocean with clear blue water combined with twinkling crystal when rays started to dance with water that bounces the enormous waves in the shorelines, it is captivating to say what others are telling.

    Believing what you've seen of nature's wonders, all you have to do now is record the sights and noises that you've been missing since you were a child.

 

HOW TO GET THERE: 👇

We rented a van from Butuan City for our trip to Spacebar, Cagwait, and we also paid for the gasoline so that we could use the van whenever we wanted for convenience.

On the other note: Take a public bus to Tandag and get off at the Municipality of Cagwait, particularly at the White Sand Beach crossroads. Take a bus or van to travel to Tandag from Butuan City for regular flights from Luzon and Visayas.

 

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT SPACEBAR: 👌

Some people believe that going to the beach at night is the best time to go because it is calm and serene. If you want to be active during the day, however, sunrise is preferable because there are fewer waves and the sea becomes quiet enough for swimming.

Early in the morning: If you're at the beach at this time, you can appreciate the dawn. You'll wake up to fresh clean air, which is fantastic for your hair, and the waters will be quiet, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing swim.

Would I visit Cagwait White Beach: SPACEBAR RESORT again? Yes. I prefer quiet, secluded beaches. (However, weekends are likely to be less crowded.) I'd probably spend at least two nights next time. To compensate for the long trip.
